Department of Computer Science
The Department of Visual Communication was started during the academic year 2003 – 2004 with 20 students and 2 faculties. For nearly 20 years the department is imparting media literacy to students Community. Now it has blossomed into a full-fledged department with 400 students and 17 faculty members with two sections and a post-graduate course. It has always been a benchmark of excellence in the regard of its quality.
Students are empowered with the ability to develop storytelling skills through interactive websites, mobile platforms, and other methods including motion graphics (animation), video, and interactive info-graphics and data visualizations. A broad understanding of information architecture as well as compositional aesthetics that are used to create successful visual narratives in the print, digital, online and mobile space.
The department is well equipped with an audio booth, edit suit, computer lab, shooting floor with chromakey screens, seminar hall, and a drawing studio. Facilities that meets industry standards are provided to help students complete their record work and to train them to meet the industry criterion.
