The Department of B.Sc. Psychology was started in the academic year of 2018 to meet the increasing demand for mental health professionals, who can work in various fields requiring the need of a psychology professional. The prospects of a psychology professional are found across the spectrum of fields of work that involves people. Some of the fields requiring such professional psychologist vary from Education, Corporates, Human Resources, Sports, Clinical Mental Health, General Health, Personality Developments, etc. The Department of Psychology is committed to excellence in undergraduate education. Our faculty and students are expected to be competent and ethical professionals committed to the science of psychology and its application to real-world situations. Our undergraduate program provides a foundation for the scientific understanding of behaviour and mental processes, and prepares students to become Psychology Specialists and Counsellors who provide evidence-based services for children, adults, and families in a variety of healthcare and educational settings. We promote an environment characterized by collaborative learning, guided by the core values of our College and professional organizations.
