The department of marketing management was established in the academic year 2014-2015. Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing Management, is an undergraduate programme that prepares students for professional careers in the field of marketing. Students can pursue higher studies in any of the commerce and management disciplines.As they gain expertise in the area of marketing, they can get placed in sales and marketing divisions of companies. Students can undertake research projects in the field of marketing like customer satisfaction, buyer behaviour, customer relationship management, etc. Budding entrepreneurs can apply the knowledge gained through this course and conduct market surveys to become efficient entrepreneurs. Students will be well equipped to provide market intelligence support to business entrepreneurs. Consultancy services in the area of marketing can be done on a small-scale basis initially. With more experience, they can provide expert advice to varied business concerns in the field of marketing. Students of Marketing Management get exposure to the information
technology revolution in today’s marketing operations and shall eventually be the future marketing agents marching towards Digital India. Opportunities are available in the fields of consultancy and agency services in marketing, for individuals and business firms.
