About The Department
The Department of visual communication was started during the academic year 2003-2004 with 20 students and 2 faculty members. Now the department has blossomed into a full fledged department with 195 students with 10 Teaching Faculties and 3 Technical Faculties to guide them and develop their skills that are needed to perform at par to the standards of the current Media industry. The Department of visual communication strives
1. To equip students with the necessary skills to be successful in the media
2. To provide assistance and professional guidance to work in the area of photography, graphic design, multimedia and television production.
3. To provide good standards in visual integrity and communication ethics.
4. Equip students with basic practical skills, and adequate technical proficiency in order to enable them to communicate using various media and processes.
The Department of visual communication has been moving forward since its inception through empowering its students by imparting relevant education, leadership qualities, promoting creative thinking and innovative ideas.
School of communication and media has recently started B.sc Electronic Media, B.sc Digital Publishing and M.sc visual communication since 2015-16.
