KARUNA CLUB
Introduction
Karuna Club of A.M.Jain College was established in year 2013 under the guidelines of karuna international chennai. In academic year 2016-2017 around 200 students were joined in Karuna Club and became Members of this club.
Blood Donation Camp
CLUB EVENT
Karuna Club joins hand with Youth Red Cross Club and Red Ribbon Club with the support of our Honorable Secretary and management organised Blood Donation Camp on 13.12.2017 at our college premises with the help of Eight Member Volunteers and two doctors from Indian Red Cross Society, Tamilnadu (IRCSTN). The team arrived at 11.30 am and students started to flow in from 12.15 p.m to 6 pm at the Library block facilitated with two rooms one for registration and one room provided with 10 beds arranged for the student donors.
Within a span of 5 hours we could achieve a target of 111 students donating their blood, which is 100% mark as per the report of IRCSTN, out of total participants of 165 students. The program started with a prayer and in the presence of our respected Principal Dr.R. Rajendran accompanied by our ever supporting Chief Manager Mrs. Sangeetha Rajapa and also with the support of our Advisor Dr. R. Ananthnarayanan. Some of the Assistant Professors also participated and donated blood. The event was successfully completed with wonderful support of 9 staffs and nearly 30 student volunteers to make the process in an organised manner in all aspect.
“No Cracker Diwali - Rally”
Karuna Club in join with the Student welfare Council (SWC) team in an awareness rally organised on 13.10.2017 on the theme “No Cracker Diwali”. Our Club students of nearly 30 actively participated with charts and slogans and our club banner joined the rally with full enthusiasm. The camp started at 11.30 am from the college premises in join hand with all club members and active student participants of nearly 600 in numbers with slogans and pluck cards covered both residential areas and a part of GST Road, issuing pamphlets . Karuna Club stand forward in protection of animals and birds from the harmful noise pollution from crackers. We are proud to contribute for a social cause of environmental friendly diwali.
