Re-accredited by NAAC, the college is affiliated to the 164-year-old prestigious University of Madras. The founder envisioned charity through education and encouraged this zealous thought as the reason for creating this 70-year-old premier institution. The college embodies a rich tradition of excellence in teaching and research and has thus diffused dynamism and knowledge to several learners from time to time. The college upgrades its facilities available to set up the best pedal of access for its students. The college has a long standing and a well-established title for having harboured an excellent faculty resource in the city. The quality of education is carefully cradled to impart profound education to all who have knocked on the knowledge doors of the college with belief.

The Institution became co-educational during the academic year 2003 – 2004.

The Shift-I of the college offers eight undergraduate and five postgraduate courses and research programmes under four streams namely Commerce, Mathematics, Economics and Physics. Shift-II, which came into existence as evening college in 1972, boasts of five branches of learning with 23 Undergraduate and four Postgraduate degree courses. Various departments of the college organise National and International conferences to promote excellence and growth.

A vast number of the alumni of the college occupy high positions in diverse domains of the society including business, industry, judiciary and academics. ·        ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS

The Department of Mathematics was established as a major department by offering the under graduate program B.Sc. (Mathematics) in the year 1972.The Post Graduate Program M.Sc. (Mathematics) was introduced in the year 2019. The department was started with the aim of imparting knowledge and mathematical skills to young aspiring minds. The objective of the department is to coach and demonstrate for understanding the theoretical concepts, modeling of complex phenomena, enhance problem solving skills and decision-making capabilities to the students. Mathematics makes the learner to think a lot. Keeping this in mind, the staff members do not merely share information with the students but strive to create the necessary environment for them to think.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE

The Department of Computer Science   was established in the year 2005. It offers Master’s Program from the year 2015. The primary objective of the Department is to build the best computing skills to serve the growing field of computing. The Department makes every effort to produce world class professionals. The Department is equipped with well qualified and experienced teaching faculty who extend their support in constant pursuit of excellence.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS

The Department of Computer Applications was established in the year 2001. The department currently functions with 20 well qualified and able faculty members. The persistence of the dedicated faculty members in maintaining the standards is manifest in the successful placements of the students of the department. The primary principle of the B.C.A course is to equip the students with the required knowledge and skills to meet the industry expectations.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The ICRRMCSA aims at bringing together leading academicians, scientists and researchers to share their experiences and research results in all aspects of Mathematics, Computer Science and Computer Applications. The Conference extends itself as a premier interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the recent innovations in their respective fields. It focuses on strengthening the existing results along with identifying the practical challenges encountered with respect to various solutions adopted in the fields of Mathematics, Computer Science and Applications.
