Admission Procedure

PROCESS OF ADMISSION:

 

 

HOW TO OBTAIN APPLICATION FORM

      IN PERSON : From Shift - II College office second week of April every year between 10.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m on all working days on payment of Rs. 250 for a UG Course / Rs. 300 for PG Course. Candidates should use separate form for the different branches / courses they seek admission.
 
      BY POST      : Sending a Demand Draft with a requisition letter addressed to Dean, A.M.Jain College Shift-II Meenambakkam, Chennai - 600114, along with a self-addressed envelope (23 X 13 cm) affixed with Rs.60 postal stamp.
 
      ONLINE       : Log on to www.amjaincollege.edu.in

 HOW TO SUBMIT APPLICATION FORM 

      Filled - in application form for all UG Courses with a latest color (with white background ) passport-size photograph affixed in the box provided should be submitted to Shift-II College office within TEN Days from the date of publication of Tamilnadu Higher Secondary Examination results. At the time of registration, the candidate must have completed 16 years 6 Months on 1st july of the year of admission 

      Filled - in application form for all PG Courses with a latest color (with white background ) passport-size photograph affixed in the box provided should be submitted to Shift-II College Office within TEN Days from the date of publication of university Under-Graduate Examination result. 

 Application form & prospectus for various courses can be obtained from the college office on payment of Rs. 250 /- for U.G. Courses & Rs. 300/- for P.G Courses, between 10.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on all working days. Outstation candidates can obtain the same by sending a demand draft  in favor of THE PRINCIPAL, A.M. JAIN COLLEGE, CHENNAI 114, along with a self-addressed envelope (23 X 13.c.m.) with appropriate postal stamps affixed. Candidates have to use separate application forms for each course they are wishing to apply. The last date for the receipt of the filled in application form is generally ten days from the date of the publication of the results of the qualifying examination.

Application forms including those send by registered post and received by the college office on or before the last date, will be registered. Every application should be registered. In all communications concerning the admission, only the application number should be quoted. Photocopies of mark sheets, duly attested, should be attached to the application. The admission card enclosed with the application form should bear the candidates address and should be duly stamped.

An applicant, who is selected for admission, must report to THE PRINCIPAL for shift I / THE DEAN for shift II with his/her parents and must pay the fees in full on the same day. He should produce the following documents in original at the time of admission,

1. Transfer and conduct certificate.

2. H.S.C. certificate.

3. Eligibility certificate issued by the University of Madras (in case of the candidates from other states).

4. The mark sheet of the qualifying examination issued by the boards.

5. Community certificate from the officer of the revenue department not lower in rank then a deputy Tahsildar (in case of applicants belonging to the scheduled castes/tribes and converts to Christianity and backward communities).
